| Biography: |
| After an one of the best freshman seasons ever by a Bruin defender, Spencer Havner (6-4, 235) returns to anchor the Bruins linebacking corps. In 2002, Havner was a First Team Freshman All-American, and the Sporting News Pac-10 Defensive Freshman of the Year. He was second on the Bruins with 96 tackles (second most ever by a Bruin freshman), had a pair of sacks, 12 tackles for loss and 3 interceptions, including a pair for touchdowns (against Oklahoma State and Washington), which tied a school record. Havner was a national top 11 linebacker as a prep senior in 2000. |
