Bio: Jeff Jaeger the University of Washington's all-time scoring
leader with 358 career points holds scores of kicking records he achieved during
his NFL playing days as well. Jeff played with the Cleveland Browns, who drafted
him in the 3rd round in 1987, for his rookie season. He played seven seasons
with the Oakland Raiders and rounded out his career with the Chicago Bears.
Jaeger broke all of the Browns rookie scoring records with 75 points despite
playing in only 10 games. During his time with the Raiders he led them in
scoring 5 consecutive seasons, consistently ranked in the top 10 in the league
in scoring, Jeff was voted to his first Pro Bowl after only 3 playing seasons.
He tied a Raider record for longest field goal with a 54-yarder in 92'. He led
the NFL in scoring and set a new Raider record with 132 points in 93' as well as
leading the NFL in FG's made and tied the all-time NFL mark for FG attempts,
both are all-time Raider single season records. In 1994 Jaeger set another
record for the most field goals in one game when he made five to earn AFC
special teams Player of the Week honors.
Jaeger accounted for a total of 1008 points during his 11-year NFL career which
spanned three decades. His career field goal percentage is 74.1% hitting 229 of
309 attempts. His PAT conversion rate is 98.2% converting 321 of 327 attempts.
