| Biography: |
| In 2002, Chris Gamble burst onto the scene to become one of college football's top players. The big factor in Gamble's rise to stardom had to do with his unexpected switch to defense. Gamble had been hyped for months as Ohio State's next great WR, and he started the season solely at that position, but along the way he was switched to cornerback and performed tremendously well despite very little experience at the position. Gamble comes into 2003 as college football's top three-way performer (offense, defense, special teams), and even though it appears he could be spending less time on offense, he will still be an ironman and be on the field more than any other Buckeye player. In 2002, Gamble had 24 tackles, 4 INTs (one for TD), 6 Passes broken up, and 1 TFL; 31 catches for 499 yards; 35 punt returns for 293 yards (27 long), 11 kick returns for 253 yards, and 49 rushing yards and one TD.
