| The younger brother of Washington State and NFL standout Marcus Trufant, Desmond Trufant had eight interceptions his junior campaign and was named first team all-conference at corner. A three sport star at Wilson, excelling in basketball and track and field. Personal bests in the triple jump and long jump are 46-7 and 22-7. Trufant says he can bench-press 260-pounds, squats 380 and claims a 37-inch vertical jump.
Final senior (4-6) stats: 67 tackles and 12 total touchdowns (rushing, receiving, special teams)
Trufant reports a 3.0 core GPA and a 1200 SAT and 19 ACT.
Trufant: "I have good coverage ability. I also have great agility and am real good guard receivers man-to-man.
"I'm real aggressive and like going one-on-one. I have good technique and am smooth with everything I do, but I want to be better on the run. I want to take better angles and run better routes. I'd like to improve my changing directions and have quicker feet."
