College: Bachert started at offensive tackle last fall but will move to center in 2002. He'll be the starter. He has recovered from shoulder surgery in the spring. Can also play guard if needed.
High School: Played for first-year Diablos head coach Steve Carnes as a senior...rated No. 17 lineman in Western Region by SuperPrep...named to Tacoma News Tribune’s "Western 100" team...played four years as an offensive tackle in high school at three different schools...played freshman year at Kingwood (Texas) High School...played on the defensive line as a junior and senior...helped team to the state championship as a junior...named to all-conference team as a junior and senior...family moved to Mission Viejo from Lawrence, Mich., after his sophomore year in high school...was an all-conference performer as a first baseman in baseball as a junior...competed for track team and ran the 100 meters. |
