| Biography: |
Williams' return is huge for the Husky defense, who sorely missed his experience last year. He'll be the starter at outside "SAM" linebacker after redshirting last season with an assortment of injuries.
2001: Injuries to neck, shoulder, and both ankles sidelined him for the season. He used his redshirt that was available.
2000: Started eight of 11 games for the second straight season ... missed California game with an injury, the only game Williams has missed in his three-year career ... also did not start against UCLA and Washington State, when Washington opened in a nickel package ... finished with 21 tackles, including two for loss ... had best game tackling against Oregon, making a career-high seven stops, including five solo ... brought down Oregon’s Joey Harrington for first career sack ... recipient of the Coaches’ Award, for outstanding contribution to the team, at the annual postseason banquet. 1999: Appeared in all 11 regular-season games and started every contest except for the Oregon State game when the Huskies opened with a nickel package … finished the season with 28 tackles .. added a pair of tackles for loss … best game was six tackles against Arizona State ... had two tackles vs. Kansas State in the Holiday Bowl. 1998: One of eight true freshmen to play during the season ... backup at weakside linebacker ... one of only two defensive players to play in every quarter during the season, most on special teams ... made 10 tackles during the season ... had one tackle vs. Air Force in Oahu Bowl.
