Newson often gets lost among all the talented receivers in the Pac-10, but he has great size, strength, and can be relied upon to make big plays.
College:
Newson was OSU's leading receiver in both 2002 and 2001...He was honorable mention all-league both seasons...Finished tied for third in the conference with 11 touchdowns in 2002 and fifth in the conference with 1119 yards receiving.
High School:
Graduated from Edison High School in Stockton, California in 1998...Signed a letter of intent in the spring of 1998, but delayed his enrollment until Winter of 1999 at OSU due to academic issues...Was also a standout basketball player, being awarded numerous all-league honors. |
