Biography:
Earned All-Pac-10 honorable mention honors as a true freshman in 2006 and was named Louisville Slugger Freshman All-American by Collegiate Baseball newspaper. Started 54 games, hitting .345 and leading team in runs scored with 54. Hit a team-leading .331 in Pac-10 games. Hit safely in 23 of last 24 games and 49 of 57 overall.

Earned three varsity letters at Southridge High in Kennewick, where he hit .367 as a junior and set a school record with a .531 average as a senior. A two-time all-conference pick who was named Big 9 MVP in 2005 as well as first-team All-State. Team won Class 4A state title in 2004.
