honors candidate again after earning the Lou Groza Award as a sophomore...enters
the season with the second-highest career FG percentage among active Division
I players at .833 (40-48)...his 1.7 made field goals per game average leads
the NCAA for active players...40 converted field goals is an OSU record...enters
the season with 61 consecutive made extra point attempts – 19 short of
the school record...has the ability to make kicks in inclement weather...connected
on 32 of 34 attempts from 39 yards or closer...honored as the Pac-10 Special
Teams Player of the Week three times during his two-year career...tied an OSU
record by making 15 consecutive field goals in 2005...enters the season with
181 total points, already fifth all-time at OSU trailing only Ken Simonton (RB,
366), Steven Jackson (RB, 276), Ryan Cesca (PK, 219) and Kirk Yliniemi (PK,
207)...a former walkon...preseason Sporting News First Team All-Pac-10 and second

2005: Alexis’ honors in 2005 included the Lou Groza
Award, Pac-10 Conference First Team, American Football Coaches Association All-American,
and Walter Camp Foundation and Associated Press Second Team All-American...made
23 of 28 field goal attempts, including 15 in a row...made the game-winning
field goal with 1:03 (29 yds) remaining in the team’s 23-20 victory over
Boise State...accounted for all 18 points (6-for-6 fgs) in the victory at Washington,
and in two games at Husky Stadium is 11-for-11...his six field goal performance
broke an OSU record and tied the conference mark...Pac-10 Special Teams Player
of the Week after his performance at Washington...named to the three-member
Lou Groza Award Stars of the Week team three times during the season...accounted
for 101 total points, the seventh-highest single season total ever at OSU and
the second-highest among kickers...Pac-10 leader for field goal percentage at
.821...his 23 made and 28 attempted were both school records.
2004: Second team All-Pac-10 Conference...Sporting News Pac-10
All-Freshman Team and the College Football News All-Freshman second team...semi-finalist
for the Lou Groza Award...led the Pac-10 for field goal percentage at .850 (17-20)
-- only three kickers in the nation with 20-plus attempts had a better percentage...two-time
Pac-10 Special Teams Player of the Week for his 5-for-5 (OSU record) efforts
in victories at Washington (Oct. 16) and vs. Oregon (Nov. 20)...booted a 55-yard
field goal on the last play of the first half at Washington – tied for
the second-longest in OSU history...made his first eight field goal attempts
before missing his only regular-season effort at Arizona in a swirling wind...missed
his first three extra point attempts...earned a scholarship after the season.
