| Biography: |
| One of the most prolific pass interceptors in the California Community College system, Dwight is a defensive
back hopeful joining the Spartans this fall. In the 15 games he played for Cabrillo College (Coach Steve
Cox), Lowery intercepted 13 passes. As a freshman, he tied for first in the state with his eight interceptions,
two of which he returned for touchdowns. The graduate of Soquel (Calif.) High School lettered in football
(Coach Ron Meyers) and basketball. In his senior season, he set a school record scoring 25 touchdowns, 23 of
them rushing scores. In a 2003 game against Sacred Heart of San Francisco, Dwight scored seven touchdowns.
He was a first-team all-league defensive back his junior and senior seasons and a first-team running back as a
senior. Lowery visited San Jose State, Purdue and Utah State during the recruiting period. He plans to major in
psychology. Dwight was born in Santa Cruz, Calif., on January 23, 1986. |
