High School: Amassed 1,990 yards rushing, 39 TDs, and 586 yards receiving in 1999...was the DeAnaza league most valuable player...an all-CIF, all-county and Small Schools all-state selection...a member of the Tacoma News-Tribune’s "Western 100"...a PrepStar All-Region pick at running back... ranked by PrepStar as the number nine running back in the West Region...ranked 37th in SuperPrep’s California/Hawaii/Nevada 152...also competed for Notre Dame’s track program.
College: Redshirted the 2001 season while recovering from a severely broken foot that was sustained in pre-season workouts...spent every football practice rehabbing the foot with the strength and conditioning coaches...as a freshman, appeared in 11 games at cornerback, including three starts...his 24.2 yards-per-return average as a kickoff-returner ranked 21st in the nation...recorded 19 tackles and earned Rivals.com Freshman All-American honors...also recieved second-team Freshman All-America honors from The Sporting News...will be welcomed back to the secondary with open arms in 2002, joining the likes of Roc Alexander, Chris Massey, Sam Cunningham, and Eric Shyne as the top candidates at cornerback ... 2002: Started all 13 games, having a breakout season for the Huskies ... earned second-team All-Pac-10 honors after picking off 5 passes during the year, including 10 pass deflections ... his 5 interceptions was second-best in the Pac-10 ... named a KJR 950-AM Defensive MVP and KING-TV Most Improved Player ... will be counted on to be a cornerstone of the secondary under new DBs coach Phil Snow.
