Biography:
Concluded the 2003 regular season with 82 tackles, 11 of them behind the line of scrimmage. Was twice named Pac-10 Defensive Player of the Week (vs. Notre Dame and Oregon State). Named first-team all-conference. Played outside LB in 2003 but will move to the middle in 2004. Widely considered an All-American candidate, he's on the watch list for the Butkus Award, emblematic of the nation's finest linebacker. Reshirted in 2001 and broke into starting line up in 2002, earning a spot on the Freshman All-Pac-10 team. He was voted Pac-10 Defensive Player of the Week that year in the season opener against Nevada when he intercepted three passes and returned one 98 yards for a TD. Comes from a long line of WSU parisans. Three uncles, three aunts, four cousins and his two sisters are Cougs.
