Kim Grinolds - Business Manager, Dawgman.com and Sports Washington Magazine

Player of the Year? - Jake Locker Not only his arm and his legs, but his toughness and will to win as well. Jake’s intangibles are off the charts. The kid’s a winner, both on and off the field. Once in a generation type kid.
Most Valuable Player? - Jake Locker
Biggest senior loss (meaning who is UW going to miss the most in 2010 by graduation)? - Daniel Te'o-Nesheim. He’s a quiet kid but his motor is non-stop, not only during games, but practice as well. That type of thing is contagious and will be missed.

Best game? - California. After losing six of their previous seven games, a win at home against WSU was expected. Nobody expected them to beat Cal like they did. It not only showed that the team was getting better, but it set the tone for the off season as well as recruiting. Ending the year on a positive like they did was huge in setting the tone for the off-season.
Best moment of the season? - Post-game USC. See: Jermaine Kearse picture. I haven’t seen that type of emotion from not only the team, but the fan base as well since the Rose Bowl victory with Curtis Williams in the press box.
Worst moment of the season? - The Notre Dame loss. So many “ what if’s”. A game that the players and coaches felt they truly should have won. That one hurt.
Most unusual moment of the season?: Packing up my gear against Arizona and seeing Mason Foster running the other way for a TD.

2010 Predictions:
Sept. 4 at BYU Loss
Sept. 11 SYRACUSE Win
Sept. 18 NEBRASKA Win
Sept. 25 at California Loss
Oct. 2 at USC Loss
Oct. 9 ARIZONA STATE Win
Oct. 16 OREGON STATE Win
Oct. 23 at Arizona Loss
Oct. 30 STANFORD Win
Nov. 6 at Oregon Loss
Nov. 13 UCLA Win
Nov. 20 at Washington State Win
So I'm going with 7-5

Biggest senior loss (meaning who is UW going to miss the most in 2010 by graduation)? - Donald Butler

Dave Samek - Publisher, Dawgman.com and Sports Washington Magazine

Player of the Year? - Jake Locker. Most important player to any program in America given the thin depth behind him. Showed what he can do when healthy all year. In 2010 he will pick up where he left off against Cal and have a HUGE season both on the ground and through the air.
Most Valuable Player? - Chris Polk. Polk's 1000+ season was one thing, but his durability and ability to take the football 25 times per game was huge. He allowed Jake to not have to do it all. He may not get 1000 next year because everyone will be expecting him, but look for him to be a bigger threat as a receiver.
Biggest senior loss (meaning who is UW going to miss the most in 2010 by graduation)? - Donald Butler. Guy fulfilled all of his potential in 2009. While he might be able to be physically replaced, his attitude and leadership will be a bigger void.
Best game? - USC. That win, although against an overrated foe, put this program back on the map and made it relevent faster than anyone could've expected. HUGE HUGE win in year one for Sark.
Best moment of the season? - The first practice. Not seeing Tyrone Willingham around anymore and seeing the excitement in and around the program. It was like a rebirth, and we had our Huskies back out from under the dark clouds.
Worst moment of the season? - UCLA. That game was horrendous. While losing at Notre Dame was heart-wrenching, the UCLA game just made me angry. Too many mistakes to overcome despite UCLA's attempts to give us the win.
Most unusual moment of the season? - Arizona - watching that ball carom off of the prone Wildcat receiver and into Mason Foster's surprised arms and then seeing him bolt to the end zone was not surreal. It was sublime.

2010 Predictions:
Player of the Year? - Jake Locker. If he stays upright, his mix of running and passing, and another year of proper coaching is going to make him very difficult to defend.
Most Valuable Player? - Jermaine Kearse. Kearse made some huge catches but still had a few drops. I see the drops being few and far between in 2010 and I think he will top the 1000 yard mark in 2010 and become an all-Pac 10 performer.
Biggest senior loss? - Jake Locker. Washington is bound to dip a little when he leaves after 2010.
Top rusher (and # of yards)? - Chris Polk. I see him getting between 800 and 1000 yards on the ground as well as 300 through receiving on screens and dump offs in the flat.
Top receiver (and # of yards)? - Kearse, and I see him going over 1000 yards.
Top tackler (and # of tackles)? - Mason Foster. Foster will rack up 100 tackles from his linebacker position.
Most interceptions (and number)? - Desmond Trufant. As a true sophomore, teams will be tempted to test him and he will make them pay. I see Trufant with four interceptions in 2010.
Season record? - 7-5 and a trip to a bowl game for Jake's finale.
Pac-10 record (and position in the conference)? - 5-4 in the Pac with a fourth place finish. Losses to Oregon, USC, Arizona, and Cal.
Patrick Thrapp - The Man Who Runs The Numbers

Player of the Year? - Chris Polk – What a stud RB
Most Valuable Player? - Jake Locker – Heart & Soul
Biggest senior loss (meaning who is UW going to miss the most in 2010 by graduation)? - Daniel Te'o-Nesheim
Best game? - USC
Best moment of the season? - FG to beat USC
Worst moment of the season? - Final TD to ASU in waning moments
Most unusual moment of the season? - INT by Foster off Arizona’s foot

2010 Predictions:
Player of the Year? - Polk only because I am giving Jake MVP
Most Valuable Player? - Jake
Biggest senior loss? - Jake
Top rusher (and # of yards)? - Polk - 1050
Top receiver (and # of yards)? - Kearse - 800
Top tackler (and # of tackles)? - Foster - 90
Most interceptions (and number)? - Trufant - 4
Season record? - 7-5
Pac-10 record (and position in the conference)? - 5-4

This may not be the best moment of the year, but it was the moment I knew the Huskies had turned the corner. The 85 yard drive to open the season against LSU to take a 7-0 lead. It was then I knew Sark was the right hire. Most aggravating moment was not scoring with 10 tries inside the 10 at Notre Dame.
