Washington may have found their next big-time middle linebacker, as Culver City, Calif. MLB Victor Burnett has verbally committed to Washington over offers from Arizona, Arizona State, Nebraska, Oklahoma, Oregon State, West Virginia and others.

"He did make his commitment tonight," Burnett's Mother, Beverly McNair, told Scout.com. "If he feels that Washington is the best school for him, I think it's great."

McNair also talked about the importance of Washington's Cornerbacks Coach, Demetrice Martin, and the role he played in the recruitment of her son, as well as the education Burnett will receive as he works toward getting a degree in Communications.

We'll have more from Burnett later. He's considered the No. 25 middle linebacker prospect in the country and the No. 7 overall LB prospect in the West by Scout.com.
