Another unofficial visit to Seattle for Hill?

He was oh-so close to committing to Washington on his visit back in April, but after talking with his family, St. Bonaventure (Ventura, Ca.) CB Troy Hill has decided to take things slowly to make sure he makes an informed decision. Dawgman.com caught up with the talented corner prospect recently and he filled us in on what's been going on and he let us know of his plans for visits this fall...

"Things have been going good, I'm just working with my team getting ready for the season," Hill told Dawgman.com. "We have 'hell week' coming up and we've been going to camps and doing 7-on-7's, so it's getting close and I think we're going to have a great season."

Hill and his friend Joshua Shaw from Palmdale (Ca.) both visited Montlake to take in Washington's spring game back in April and both came away impressed. Shaw has already made it known that he plans to visit Seattle again to take in the Huskies' game against LSU the first weekend of September and it sounds like Hill will be there as well.

"Yep, I think I'm heading up for that one," Hill said. "It should be a great game. The lights will be on for it since it's a night game, ESPN will be there, the crowd will be hyped up and I've heard there will be a lot of recruits at the game so it should be pretty crazy.

"I'm going to bring my uncle up with me so he can get a close look at things and make sure it fits me and what I need to succeed. They are definitely my favorite school, but I haven't had any of my family members see it yet."

Washington DB coach Demetrice Martin is the coach recruiting Hill and he says they have a special bond.

"He talks to me like a brother would," Hill said. "I love it that he would be my coach. He's been successful where he's gone and I know I would love playing for him."

Besides his pending trip to Montlake, Hill said he plans to visit Oregon and Arizona as well.

"Both of them recruited me really hard during the spring," Hill said. "They both want me to come in for a visit and I really want to check them out before I make my final decision. I'll call them up in the first week of August to make those plans.

"Washington is my leader, but I'm not really close to making a decision because I really want to see what else is out there. My family told me that was the best thing I could do, make sure I make the right decision, so I don't have any regrets."

We'll have more from Hill in the future as he gets closer to set up his official visits.
