Hill almost pulls trigger on his visit to UW

St. Bonaventure CB Troy Hill took a visit to Seattle this weekend to check out one of the two schools who have offered him. He said he enjoyed his time at Montlake so much he almost committed, but a conversation with his parents made him hold off and he said right now he's going to remain open to everyone interested in his services...

"I came up to Washington loving them and I love them even more now," Hill told Dawgman.com on Sunday. "I almost committed because going up I had though I might do it, but after talking with my parents, they said to wait so they can see what Washington was all about before I did anything.

"I'm going to try and get up there in June, but if not then me and my parents will definitely take an unofficial visit up there for their game against LSU."

While in Seattle, Hill and his friend Joshua Shaw from Palmdale both took in the sites and sounds of the Husky football program and he came away impressed with what he saw.

"We got to go downtown a little bit and we saw the school and the campus," Hill said. "It was really great and I just loved it. The coaches and the people were all great. I couldn't believe how nice it was. It really surprised me."

Hill said while Washington is his clear leader at this point he's still open to anyone that wants to recruit him.

"If I had to name a leader right now, it'd be Washington for sure," Hill said. "I could commit anytime, but honestly no matter where I commit, I'm going to take all my visits before I have to sign my name to a scholarship."

At this point Arizona is the only other school to offer the talented corner prospect, but he could be close to hauling in some more.

"Notre Dame is close to offering," Hill said. "California and Georgia and a bunch of other SEC schools are also talking to me, but I haven't gotten offers from them yet."

As a junior in 2008, Hill notched 46 tackles, five interceptions (one for a touchdown) and one kick he returned for a touchdown and he claims a 4.5 forty time and a 35-inch vertical as well.

We'll have more from Hill down the road, but it appears he could make a decision before his senior season starts.
