Coleman talks visits, new Husky head coach

When he decommitted from the University of Washington, it was assumed by man that the Huskies would still have a chance to whoo Garfield (Seattle) DT/OL DeAndre Coleman. The talented lineman has been courted by several other programs and since taking a trip to Cal in October, Coleman has set up two more visits, while continuing to keep an eye on the things happening on Montlake...

"I'm visiting Oregon State next weekend (Dec. 19th) and I'm visiting Arizona State on January 10th," Coleman told Dawgman.com on Saturday. "I'm going to take all of my official visits before I decide anything."

Coleman has spoken very recently to Husky assistant Chris Tormey, the only coach expected to be retained from Tyrone Willingham's staff, and he said he's interested in sitting down with new Husky head coach Steve Sarkisian.

"I haven't spoken with coach Sarkisian yet, but coach Tormey called me and talked to me about the changes and stuff," Coleman said. "I really don't know much about him yet, but he has a good reputation from his time at USC, so I'm looking forward to going and meeting with him and letting my family meet him too.

"We will probably try and do something this month, but if that doesn't work out, then I definitely will take a look at sitting down with him early next month when he's here full time."

In addition to his visits, Coleman has also started getting interest from Texas as well as the other schools that have been pursuing him since last year.
