Locke athlete hoping for better results
"Kansas, Washington, Oregon and Fresno State," Marcus said when asked which schools have been recruiting him the hardest lately. No offers yet, but that should change by the time his season is finished.
Receivers coach Bobby Kennedy is the coach recruiting Johnson for Washington. "I talked to Coach Kennedy," he said. "He gave me a goal to do in my games, a standard. Like completions, touchdowns, no interceptions...stuff like that."
Johnson doesn't have any visits set up yet, but expects to take trips to Kansas and Washington. He's already taken an unofficial to Fresno State. All four colleges are his top schools at the present time.
Anything else going on with Marcus? "I'm keeping my grades up this year," he said with a chuckle. "Last year it was rougher." He will be taking the SAT sometime in October.
