Locke gunslinger has UW, others in sight
Johnson's currently hearing from Kansas, Fresno State, Oregon, Colorado, and the University of Washington. "I talked to Coach Neuheisel," he told Dawgman.com. "He was asking me how football and school were coming along."
Neuheisel must have seen Johnson hook up with wideouts on his favorite pattern, the "Cougar Right Wing Motion Gangster Pass," a flood to the right side where the weakside runs a wheel, while his strongside receivers run comeback routes. Ideal for a quarterback that likes "to break down defenses."
He tripped to the Nike USC camp this summer, and while he's still fairly open as far as his recruitment is concerned, he rates his interest in the Huskies as an "eight" out of ten. Just slightly lower, it would seem, than his completion percentage from his junior season.
Marcus is an engaging, special kid whose exploits we look forward to following this fall.
