Trip report - Keno Walter-White
"They reoffered me when I was there and even though I was already committed, I re-emphasized my commitment to them," said San Diego (Calif.) Mesa CB Keno Walter-White to Dawgman.com Sunday night.
Charles Smith, a fellow southern Californian, was his host and Walter-White said they saw a lot of the Emerald City.
"We looked around the city a lot," he said. "I had a great time. It was really cool. I also met another guy from Lemon Grove, Scott White and he and Charles told me how much they love it here. They showed me a great time."
The highlight for Walter-White though was his meeting with Willingham.
"He let me know what he was about," Walter-White said. "He wants you to graduate and do all I can do to be a better man. But he also said he wants to win some football games.
"He demands a lot from you. I could very easily see myself playing for him.
"Coach Willingham is a very powerful man," he continued. "Coach (New defensive backs coach Steven) Wilks and the rest of the coaches are really committed to the players.
"I would still say I am committed to (Washington)," he continued. "But I still need to get back home and talk with my folks and just make sure where my head is and talk about it. I am still very committed though."
"I will be up there in late April or early May, once I finish up these classes."
