SEATTLE -- Third-year coach Lorenzo Romar's Washington men's basketball team
received its final letter of intent commitment on Thursday, completing a
six-man class that has been ranked among the best collection of recruits in
the nation by several analysts.

Harvey Perry, a 6-foot-5 guard from Henderson, Nev., completes the group
that was touted as the country¹s fourth-best recruiting class by the
Scout.com service.
A 2004 graduate of Foothill (Nev.) High School, Perry averaged 17 points, 10
rebounds and 5.2 assists his senior season. He is currently at Brewster
Academy in Woleboro, N.H., the same prep school attended last year by UW
freshman Joel Smith.
Perry was ranked No. 59 nationally among the prep class of 2005 by
Rivals.com. He joins five other highly acclaimed UW recruits, including
three from the state of Washington. Jon Brockman (Snohomish HS), Artem Wallace (Toledo HS) and Martell Webster (Seattle Prep HS) signed letters of
intent on Wednesday along with out-of-state talents Justin Dentmon
(Carbondale, Ill.) and Roburt Sallie (Sacramento, Calif.)
"With four guards leaving the next two years, we feel we've been able to
replace those guys with this class," Romar explained. "With this group we
have become a more physical team without sacrificing quickness. We feel that
this is a high-level character group as well, which is something that is
really important to us."
Washington is ranked 22nd in the Associated Press poll and No. 24 in the
ESPN/USA Today Coaches' Poll, its first preseason rankings since 1998. The
Huskies begin their 2004-05 regular-season schedule on Friday, Nov. 19
against Seattle Pacific. Tip-off is 7:30 p.m. at Bank of America Arena.
