JC corner commits to Washington
Walter-White is known for his speed and ability on the football field. He may also be a return specialist for the Huskies, as he had 18 kickoff returns for a whopping 601 yards and one touchdown, a 33.4 yards-per-return average.
"I think he's definitely one of the top athletes in the state," Moss said, adding that Walter-White is also a legitimate 7-foot high jumper. "A lot of schools were on him, but most were just sitting back and waiting."
So why did Keno accept UW's offer so early? "Well, I think it has to do more with the fact that Washington just showed great interest in Keno very early on," said Moss. "I think he really bonded with the coach that was recruiting him, Coach (Charlie) Dickey, and then the DB coach (Jimmy Lake) when he met him.
"Keno does a lot of things just based on his own gut feel with who he is working with, and he just felt very comfortable with them."
Walter-White is on pace to graduated with his AA in the spring of 2005 and be available to Washington that fall with 3 years to play 2. "I'm also a counselor and I do his academic planning," Moss said. "He's on the right track."
We will have more from Keno hopefully next week.
