Wednesday Practice Report

SEATTLE - Under sunny skies at Husky Stadium, Chris Petersen gathered all his players together for the first time and put them through their paces. The defense produced five interceptions, two coming from John Timu, and a true freshman also made his presence felt as the pads started to pop a little bit.

We won’t see Washington go full pads until Saturday’s open-to-the-public scrimmage, but that didn’t stop the players - who were wearing light pads and shorts - from introducing themselves. Scott Lawyer continued to wear yellow Wednesday, while a pair of frosh defensive backs - Aaron Chapman and Brandon Lewis - also did not participate.
