ASJ, Sankey Taken in Day Two
Seferian-Jenkins was the second tight end taken in the draft, following North Carolina's Eric Ebron (selected at No. 10 by Detroit). The other top tight end expected to go in the first two rounds, Texas Tech's Jace Amaro, was picked at No. 49 by the New York Jets.
ASJ leaves the UW Football program as its best tight end ever, by any measure. He's the only one to have ever won the Mackey Award, and he basically owns every record there is for tight end production, including career catches, yards, and touchdowns.
Sankey, a four-star prospect rated as the No. 17 running back in the country for the 2011 recruiting class by Scout.com, set a UW rushing record in 2013 with 1870 yards. He was also selected in the second round by Tennessee, just like former Husky quarterback Jake Locker three years ago.
He was also the first running back taken in the draft, ahead of Arizona's Ka'Deem Carey, Ohio State's Carlos Hyde, Auburn's Tre Mason, LSU's Jeremy Hill, Baylor's Lache Seastrunk, and Boston College's Andre Williams,
