John Turner is a 6-4.5, 275-pound offensive lineman from Loyola High School in Los Angeles, Calif., and Loyola has been a recent hotbed for OL talent heading to Washington. Four years ago it was Colin Tanigawa, and last year it was Coleman Shelton. The latest Loyola Cub to call Montlake his future home is Turner, and he took his official visit to UW this past weekend.

Turner is one of the few UW commits to have been offered first by Steve Sarkisian's staff, and then again by Chris Petersen's new staff, despite the fact that Petersen did not look at Turner when he was at Boise State.
