Hale Tweets His Decision

Most recruits wait until their official visits are done before announcing any potential decisions, but now in the world of social networking, that isn't necessary. Naijiel Hale, a 5-foot-11, 170-pound defensive back from St. John Bosco in Bellflower, Calif. didn't waste any time on his official visit to Washington, verbally committing via Twitter and Instagram.

"I would like to announce that I've decommitted from Arizona and officially a #Washington huskie," Hale tweeted out minutes ago. "I give all the glory to god to even have an opportunity to attend college. #GoDawgs #Bowdown"

Hale is the 19th public verbal commitment for Washington, and the second four-star prospect to flip to the Huskies. QB K.J. Carta-Samuels opened up his recruitment after Vanderbilt Head Coach James Franklin left for Penn State.

This is what the Scout recruiting team had to say about Hale. They ranked him the fourth-rated cornerback in the west. "Pound for pound, Hale is one of the toughest players in the region, regardless of position. He's a pit bull and will physically battle you on every play. Hale plays with a chip on his shoulder and it has served him well this winter. He quickly become one of the hottest corner recruits in the region during the spring and it was well deserved. He thrives in press coverage and has the feet to close as quick as a cat as well. Helped lead St. John Bosco to the CIF State title and was a U.S. Army All-American."
