McGary Talks OSU and UW Visits; Recruiting

One of the top players in the state of Washington, Fife OT/DL Kaleb McGary, was on hand for the Huskies' 27-17 win over Washington State on Friday. Dawgman.com caught up with him and he updated us on his his visit went as well as his official visit to Oregon State a week ago and some of his future plans as well...

"Oh it was good like it always is when I visit (Washington)," McGary said about his unofficial visit to Washington on Black Friday for the Apple Cup. "The atmosphere was great. It was a good game and I had a great time."

McGary has been by Montlake numerous times, so he said his visits now lean more on getting to know the players better and also continuing to strengthen his relationship with the Husky staff.

"I have seen everything there and it's been great," McGary noted. "Now I just want to get to know the players better and the coaches too. It's good to have this time with them."

Last weekend, McGary was in Corvallis to take his official visit to see Oregon State play the Huskies and he said he came away impressed.

"That was a great visit. I really enjoyed myself and it was a special time to be down there to see the school and meet with the coaches and spend time with the players," McGary said. "That place, I'm not going to lie, it reminded me of all the stuff that I miss. It's just like where I come from. I miss it a lot.

"I thought about committing, sure, but there are times when I've been ready to commit to Washington or to Boise State or whatever. I mean, it's hard not to get caught up in the moment, but I just keep reminding myself that I need to see every school so that I can make my decision and be firm in that."

McGary noted that he plans to visit Boise State on December 13th and is working to get a visit to Oregon scheduled for this week although that one is still up in the air.
