Washington will be a Husky

McClymonds (Oakland, Ca.) S Lavon Washington had a great Rising Stars Camp over the weekend and received an offer from the Huskies after his stellar performance. He and his mother talked about things and he committed to the Huskies shortly after finishing up...

"Yes, Lavon has committed to Washington," McClymonds head coach Mike Peters told Dawgman.com.

Washington chose the Huskies over offers from Arizona State, California, Oregon State, San Diego State and San Jose State.

His coach said he feels Washington could play anywhere in the secondary, but that "he loves to lay the wood, so I think he'll be a strong safety in college".

Check back with Dawgman.com for more on this breaking story after we are able to talk to Washington about his decision.
