Lockett makes his choice known

Rumors were that Mater Dei (Santa Ana, Ca.) CB Jonathan Lockett was going to make his decision known while at The Opening, but apparently he had too much fun on his visit to Washington and he decided to make his commitment public and announced it via Twitter that he had committed to the Huskies...

"Happy to say I'm committed to the University of Washington," were the words Lockett put out on Twitter less than 30 minutes ago.

Lockett chose Washington over offers from Oregon and UCLA, his other two favorites, Arizona, Arizona State, Boise State, Notre Dame and San Jose State.

Lockett posted 43 tackles and seven interceptions as a junior this past fall.

Dawgman.com will have more on this breaking story later after we are able to touch base with him to get his thoughts on his decision.
