SEATTLE - Nathaniel Causey homered to break a 4-4 tie in the top of the fifth inning and Ryan Kellogg won his 11th game in as many decisions to lead 19th ranked Arizona State to a 14-4 win over Washington at Husky Ballpark on a mostly cloudy Saturday afternoon.

The Sun Devils (16-13 Pac-12, 35-19-1) evened the season ending series at a win apiece and snapped a four game winning streak for the Huskies (14-15, 23-32).

Causey finished 3 for 4 with two home runs, four runs scored and two runs batted in to lead an Arizona State offense that hammered Husky pitching for 15 hits. Most of the damage came against ace Austin Voth (7-6), who lasted only five and two thirds innings in his final start of the season. He allowed eight runs, seven earned, on nine hits and five walks while striking out only two.

Washington took a 1-0 lead in the bottom of the first when Erik Forgione blooped a single to right, stole second, took third on a bunt base hit by Andrew Ely, and scored on an infield out by Jayce Ray.

In the top of the second, Arizona State sent 10 batters to the plate and scored four runs to take a 4-1 lead. Causey led off with a walk, the first of five times he reached base in the game, and Trever Allen singled. Drew Stankiewicz hit a possible double play grounder to short but Ty Afenir booted the ball for an error to load the bases. Dalton Dinotale, who finished 3 for 5 with three runs scored and two RBI, then lined a single to left center to score Causey and Allen for a 2-1 Sun Devil lead. Jake Peevyhouse doubled to left to score Stankiewicz for 3-1, and Kasey Coffman plated Dinotale with an infield single for 4-1.

After coming back on three separate occasions in an 8-7 11 inning win in the series opener, the Huskies looked like they might follow a similar script in game 2 when they scored three runs in the bottom of the second to tie the game at 4.

With one out Joe Meggs singled and Parker Guinn hit a liner to left that eluded a diving Peevyhouse for a double. Afenir grounded a single to center to plate both runners and make it 4-3. He took second on a throw home, stole third, and scored on a passed ball by catcher Max Rossiter.

From that point it was all Sun Devils offensively.

Causey broke the tie with his third homer of the season, a solo shot over the wall in right center, in the fifth. Then in the sixth the Sun Devils upped the lead to 8-4 with three runs and in the seventh, they scored five runs to go ahead 13-4 and break the game open.

In the ninth, with two outs and Dae Yang Kim on the mound, Causey capped the onslaught with his second solo homer of the game and fourth of the season, out to right.

Kellogg (11-0) allowed four runs on 10 hits in his winning effort. He did not walk a man and struck out one. After the second inning, he scattered four singles.

The two teams return to the diamond at Husky Ballpark at 12:00 noon on Sunday to conclude the regular season. The game will mark the final home appearance for regulars Afenir, Michael Camporeale, Meggs and Ray and reliever Jacob Coats.
