West Recruiting Notebook

A look at the latest news and notes from out West in this week's notebook...

McCaffrey's Top 11

Highlands Ranch (Colo.) Valor Christian running back Christian McCaffrey, the state of Colorado's top-prospect, has offers from all over the country.

But the four-star has started to trim the list down, and this week, he named a top 11.

"In no particular order, it's Stanford, Oregon, Washington, UCLA, Duke, Notre Dame, Michigan, Ohio State, Florida State, Nebraska and Wisconsin."

McCaffrey has maintained that he wants to make a decision prior to his senior season.

Defensive Decisions

A pair of defensive tackles in the West Top 10 made decisions on Saturday.

Bellevue (Wash.) defensive tackle Marcus Griffin, ranked #8 in the West and #37 nationally, committed to Washington State early Saturday.

A few hours later, La Habra (Calif.) defensive tackle Greg Gaines, ranked #6 in the West and #31 nationally, announced via Twitter his commitment to Boise State.
