Desmond Trufant only had to wait about two-and-a-half hours before finding out his pro future. The former Washington cornerback was taken by Atlanta with the 22nd pick in the 2013 NFL Draft Thursday night in New York City.

Trufant is the first Husky defensive player to be taken in the first round since Steve Emtman and Dana Hall were both picked in 1992.

Atlanta moved up to take Trufant, trading picks with St. Louis to get their man. Ironically enough, Atlanta beat Seattle 30-28 in the playoffs last year. Desmond's older brother Marcus played for the Seahawks last year.
