When Washington moved from 4-3 to a 3-4 defensive front under Justin Wilcox, the search began for hybrid athletes that could play outside linebacker and standup defensive end depending on the defense called. Last year Cory Littleton was the first hybrid 'backer to see significant playing time with the philosophy switch.
