Westlake (Calif.) Oaks Christian linebacker Cameron Judge, who committed to UCLA in the fall, has seen his recruitment go a bit topsy-turvy over the last month. For a time, the UCLA coaches weren't talking to him much, which allowed ASU to get its foot in the door.
Now, Judge has a decision to make, and he's hoping to make it sooner rather than later.
"I want to make a decision between UCLA and ASU this weekend," Judge said. "I don't know if I'll be able to, though, so it might wait until Signing Day."
Judge wasn't sure whether he'd announce over the weekend even if he made a decision. He did say that it's definitely down to ASU and UCLA, with Oregon looking unlikely at this stage of the game. It was rumored that an Oregon offer could change things, but Judge seemed adamant that ASU and UCLA were the two options on the table.
"Oregon came by my school last week," Judge said. "But it's really just down to ASU and UCLA right now, since we're getting so close to signing day."
Asked what the decision would come down to this late in the game, Judge laughed.
"Just everything," Judge said. "It's such a difficult decision because I have to look at everything about both schools and decide what the best fit is for me."
Judge said that he was planning on calling the UCLA coaches Thursday evening, and then had an in-home visit scheduled with ASU head coach Todd Graham for Friday night. After those two communications, he's hoping to have enough information to make his decision. He said that the UCLA coaches told him when they last spoke to him that they were trying to figure out how the scholarship situation would work out.
