Is Goodman Closer to Decision?

Rancho Cucamonga (Calif.) defensive back Tahaan Goodman had an official visit to LSU planned for this weekend but had to cancel last minute and took an unofficial visit to UCLA instead.

With just two and a half weeks to go before Signing Day, safety Tahaan Goodman has only taken two official visits. Goodman visited UCLA in December and was in Oklahoma last weekend. He has canceled planned visits to Nebraska and LSU twice now.

"I was supposed to visit LSU but I never got the paperwork," Goodman said. "I'm still talking with them and I may visit there in two weeks but I'm not really sure what I'm going to do. I'm playing in the West Coast Bowl this weekend so the only weekend I have left is that Feb 2 weekend.

"I could visit LSU or one of the Florida schools and I'm talking a lot with California too. On one hand, it would be fun to visit an out of state school that I've never seen but it might also be good to visit an in-state school because it's closer and Cal has been recruiting me hard so I'm just taking it day by day."

Goodman said he wanted to come up to visit UCLA again to hang out with his good friend and B2G teammate Priest Willis.

"I had a great time out there," Goodman said. "I've been to UCLA so many times that it feels like a second home now. The players on the team actually treat me like I'm part of the family already and I really feel comfortable there. With Priest coming out, I thought it would be fun to go and hang out together and we both had a great time.

"We went out with the players Friday night and then on Saturday, I got to the basketball game and that was the first basketball game I've ever been to so that was a lot of fun. The fan support was great and they gave us all a little cheer at halftime. The whole experience was a lot of fun and UCLA is definitely in a good spot now."

As for a timeline of when he might make his decision, Goodman was somewhat all over the map.

"I might do it on Signing Day," Goodman said. "Me and Priest are thinking of how we can do it together so we might actually do it this week. I'm still looking at all my options and that's why I may wait a few more weeks and do it Signing Day but Priest and I have both talked about wanting to start recruiting for the school we choose so that's why it could be as soon as this week.

"Right now, like I said earlier, I'm taking everything day by day. Cal might come in for a home visit next week and I had Oklahoma and UCLA in last week. I need to figure out what I'm going to do pretty soon here and hopefully in the next week or so, I'll have a good idea of what I'll be doing."
