Don't be shocked if it was.
The USC all-time career receptions leader said after the Trojans 22-13 loss to Notre Dame that the NFL has been on his mind.
"I've thought about it," he said. "I haven't made my decision yet."
Among the factors playing into his decision are his draft stock and whether or not another year of college football will benefit his skills.
"Of course, where I'd be taken in the draft," he explained of the decision making process. "And how much I can improve, with Coach Tee Martin and Max Wittek as my quarterback, just got to see what benefits more."
Woods, a 2012 second team Pac-12 selection, finished the regular season with 73 receptions for 813 yards including 11 touchdowns.
Those numbers are noticeably down from 2011, when the All-American made 111 catches for 1,292 yards and 15 touchdowns.
The reason? Woods role this season obviously changed with the emergence of teammate Marqise Lee. Lee finishes the season with 112 receptions for over 1,600 yards and 14 touchdowns.
Don't be surprised if these numbers factor in to Woods' decision, as the talented receiver was relegated to a large blocking role after setting the receptions record midway through the season against Colorado.
