Furney's Fated Kick: Frame by Frame

IT'S GOOOOODDDDD!

IT'S A KICK that will live forever in the lore of the Apple Cup In 1982, Chuck Nelson was wide right and no one has ever forgotten. On Friday, Andrew Furney was perfect from 27-yards-out, capping a furious Cougar comeback in a game that ranks among the most exciting in the 105 years the two teams have been playing. Photographer Greg Davis captured every second of Furney's now-legendary trey.

Of course, no kick is possible without a great snap (by Alex Den Bleyker), a great spot (by David Gilbertson), and great blocking all around from guys like Max Hersey and Zach Brevick.

Here's the kick, frame by frame ...
