Five-star Hamilton makes surprise decision

Isaac Hamilton

Bellflower (Calif.) St. John Bosco standout Isaac Hamilton decision is in. He'll play his college basketball at UTEP.

Isaac Hamilton provided basketball recruiting fans with a signing week surprise.

Scout.com's No. 28 overall recruit committed to Tim Floyd and UTEP Friday evening. He picked the Miners over strong interest from UCLA, San Diego State, Washington and Baylor.

One of the better scorers in the 2013 class, Hamilton is known for his ability to put up points in a hurry. He has impressive ball skills, shoots the ball well from long range and has developed his middle game over the course of his high school career.

Hamilton is ranked as the No. 5 shooting guard in the 2013 class.

Hamilton is UTEP's third commitment of the 2013 class. He joins Jake Flaggert and Andre Spight to make up their three-man class.
