Garnett will be at Husky Stadium on Saturday

Dawgman.com caught up with Puyallup (Wa.) OL Josh Garnett as he prepares for the start of his senior season. Recruiting is about to get very interesting for the talented offensive line prospect in the next few weeks and he said that he plans to be in the stands at Husky Stadium on Saturday as he watches Washington play host to Eastern Washington...

"Things are going good," Garnett told Dawgman.com. "I'm just getting ready for my season which starts tomorrow (vs. Spanaway Lake)."

Garnett will be at Montlake, visiting unofficially, on Saturday for Washington's game against Eastern Washington, their first against an FCS program.

"Yeah, we're coming up there to visit and see the game atmosphere," Garnett said. "I'll be up there with my dad and my dad's cousin and his wife who are coming in from Louisiana.

"We just want to see the team and see the atmosphere. I mean, I've been around it all my life, but it's good to see the opening game of the season."

As far as recruiting goes, Garnett said he's going to have to schedule his visits for after his season.

"I had hoped to get out for some games at other stadiums, but I've decided to push them all off until after my season is over," Garnett noted. "With AP Chemistry and my commitment's in football and to my team, I just don't think it's going to work out schedule-wise.

"I'm still planning on taking all my trips out of state. I want to see some other campuses and I can see U-Dub anytime I want since it's so close.

"I haven't narrowed things down from my list yet where I was at nine or 10 schools. I'll do that real soon and then I will start setting up my visits. I'd say probably in the next couple of weeks is when I will do that."

Garnett maintains he plans to take his time in making his decision and likely won't decide until very late in the process.
