Locker goes No. 8 to Titans

The Tennessee Titans took Jake Locker with the No. 8 pick in the 2011 NFL Draft, eliminating any ideas that the 6-foot-2.5, 231-pound Locker might drop beyond the first round. With Vince Young no longer in the Titans' plans, Locker was set squarely in their cross-hairs - even with Missouri QB Blaine Gabbert still on the board.

Locker joins Benji Olson as the only two Huskies to have been drafted by Tennessee. The Titans picked up Olson in the fifth round in 1998.

We'll have more on this breaking story, including Locker's own thoughts about being selected by the Titans.
