With the 2010 Pac-10 non-conference basically at a close, one fact has become clear; the conference is better than the prognosticators predicted. Sure, the bottom half of the Pac-10 stinks. Oregon State has done everything they possibly can to torpedo the league's RPI, but the Pac-10 non-conference win-loss record hasn't been nearly as bad as some of last season's embarrassing performances.

Heading into last year's Christmas break, you could make a legitimate case for one decent team in the entire conference - the California Bears - and even they were utterly embarrassed by Syracuse and Kansas en route to four non-conference losses.
